What do we pray for in the sixth commandment?
In the sixth request (And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil) we pray that God
would either keep us from being tempted to sin, or support and deliver us when we are tempted.
What does the closing of the Lord’s Prayer teach us?
The closing of the Lord’s Prayer (For yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.
Amen) teaches us to take our encouragement in prayer from God only, and in our prayers to
Praise Him – giving kingdom, power, and glory to Him. And, in knowing of certainty that we
are heard, we say, Amen.

The Pastoral Prayer Followed by The Lord’s Prayer Pastor Wes
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name;
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory,
forever. Amen.

Terri is having some health problems, please pray for her, and for Vance.

Walt is doing much better and able to have some weight on his leg now.

Terry and Francine are asking that we pray for them to find a house.
Pray for the search for a summer intern.
Pray for the sale of the Manse.
