Father’s Day Worship

Christ Presbyterian Church exists to glorify God by being disciples who are making disciples -growing in grace, in word and deed, here, near and far

For the soul that is resting in Jesus, there is no father like our Abba, Father.

Pastor                 Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father and it is

enough for us.”  Jesus said to Him, “Have I been with

you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip?

Whoever has seen Me has seen the Father

All                     For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,”

has shown in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge

of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Let Us Confess Our Faith                                Heidelberg Catechism, Question One

Believer, what is your only comfort in life and in death?

That I am not my own, but belong—in body and in soul, in life and in death—

to my faithful Savior, Jesus Christ.

He has paid for all my sins with His precious blood, and has set me free from

the tyranny of the devil.  He also watches over me in such a way that not a

hair can fall from my head without the will of my Father in heaven; in fact,

all things must work together for my salvation.

Because I belong to Him—Christ, by His Holy Spirit, assures me of eternal life

and makes me wholeheartedly willing and ready from now on to live for Him.

The Pastoral Prayer and the Lord’s Prayer                                                                   Pastor Wes

Father, hallowed be Your name.  Your kingdom come.

Give us each day our daily bread, and forgive us our sins,

for we ourselves forgive everyone who is indebted to us.

And lead us not into temptation.   Amen.

to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory,

majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever.
